Just look at Simon gazing into the dark silhouette of the castle of Castlevania. It’s enough to make one grab their whip and go to town. Drac town! Of course, he may just be trying to psyche himself up to deal with fishmen, bats, and the Prince of Hell. Or maybe he has a leg cramp.
Simon is the classic hero. Someone that fights for the sake of good and will grab bags of money if he happens to pass by them. He doesn’t speak much but he doesn’t have to–he can easily just communicate with his leather whip.
