It’s noble to see a man that is okay fighting for fungal communities. It’s also hellafied strange but really fun to witness. Mario doesn’t question his quest, he is there until the endgame. Apparently he does not care for anyone else within his family besides Luigi so worrying about former connections is not an issue.
It should also be noted that Mario is a parkour master. Mario’s technique is quite fascinating to observe. He knows that he faces certain death against all of these…turtles and cloud people and pits and giant bullets. But he just jumps, bashes, skids–yeah. Coolest plumber ever.
